Playful hypnosis… There are days, moments, weeks, insert time interval in which I fear I forget that play is an important part of the D/s dynamic. It really depends on the dynamic you have with your partner/sub/bottom/Top/Domme… I have often gone through periods of time in which I take myself too seriously. Or feel like I do anyway… So what is a Domme to do? Embrace the cold, uncaring archetype or find another way? There are no wrong answers… Either one is a great direction.

I chose to be practice playful hypnosis. I infuse a little silliness in my erotic hypnosis sessions. There are so many parts of hypnosis. Many different ways it can play out.

What is Playful Hypnosis?

For me, it is playing outside of the erotic. No, that is not quite true. It is playing in a way that can be full of joy and laughter. Pet play, drug play, doll play… notice all the play? There are days when we forget that it is play. Dominance and submission don’t need to be cold, heartless for me to enjoy it. Trance Modality, improving your hypnotic experience

What is a trance modality? Is it important to know what it is? Every hypnosis subject and Tist has their own style but beyond styling, it is important to make sure that you are using the best tools and knowledge available to you? Do you know your main modality?

This is Day 4 of Hyp-November.

What is your trance modality? Time for a lemon test

VAKOG, what is your strongest trance modality?

VAKOG is for Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Olfactory and Gustatory. Look familiar? Yep, those are all senses. To make a more immersive hypnotic experience all the senses should be used. We all have one sense (sometimes more) that we respond to more than the others. So how do we find out which modality is the strongest for us? There is an exercise that uses hypnotic language and voice called The Lemon Test. This is an exercise that will bring in parts of all the senses, and through that give you an idea of which one is strongest for you.

How does knowing your modality make a difference?

All sessions should have bits and pieces of all modalities but it is helpful to share your strongest modality with your Tist to help facilitate trance. If visualization does not work well for you, then why will I spend time focused there? When inducing trance it is helpful to find the bits and pieces that you respond to the most. Each modality can be used to induce a trance. Though, I must admit, it is significantly more difficult to induce using gustatory as your trance modality.

My favourite modality at the moment to work with is kinesthetic. There is something so magical about touch. When it comes to what I enjoy feeling, for me it is auditory. My favourite moments happens when I touch and then there is that sharp intake of breath from you. That moment, those sensations, I love that so much.
